1. Initial Installation Configuration#
1.1 Capture CIS 17.4 Schematic Software Configuration#
In the "Cadence Product Choices" dialog box that appears, select the "OrCAD Capture CIS" option and check "Use as default" to set it as the default. From then on, when you run it again, it will default to launching OrCAD Capture CIS. If you need to reselect product features, switch them in the OrCAD Capture CIS main interface menu bar "File-->Change Product..."
1.2 Allegro Software Configuration#
In the "Product Choices" dialog box that appears, select the "Allegro PCB Designer" option, check "High-Speed," check "Use as default" to set it as the default, and select OK to launch Allegro PCB Designer.
